2024 Buick Envista Avenir
It’s been quite a while since I’ve been this excited to tour through a Buick. There’s been a lot of conversation around Buick trying to appeal to a wider market through their new 2024 Envista, a subcompact and coup crossover. The real question is, would this car work well for families? Without any more introduction, let’s dive in and discuss all the details of the 2024 Buick Envista Avenir to see if this vehicle would work for your family.
By the end of this post, you’ll understand all the nuances of the 2024 Buick Envista Avenir and how this vehicle ranks in the affordable subcompact category.

Buick Envista Avenir Exterior
I’ve been seeing a lot of affordable vehicle manufacturers really play around with the limits a budget can go when it comes to elevated design- Buick is finally joining the bandwagon! The majority of the budget is spent on the exterior, making it a really well-done car to look at on the road.
For the front of the car, it is a really stunning mix of sporty and high-tech elements. The blacked-out trapezoid grill is comparable to a lot of luxury vehicles, plus the LED lights are made in a really interesting swoosh shape. Overall, the Envista is what I’d call a cool looking car.
As for sides and back of the car, it mimics a lot of the sedan features we don’t see as much anymore. With sedans being Buick’s top selling vehicle, they are hoping the Envista will merge a lot of shopper’s wants into one car.
Buick Envista Avenir First Row Details
Although the exterior of the car really got a facelift, the interior is nothing to scoff at! Throughout the entire inside, there are a lot of solid tech features incorporated making the $23,000 starting price worth every penny.
Infotainment System
The infotainment system is where a lot of the bang for your buck comes from. There’s a 19 inch advertised infotainment system display, but this is a little misleading because the screen and dash are separate. However, the integration is seamless and really beautiful. Best of all, this is standard in all vehicles.
Additional Features
There are a lot of really solid features throughout the first row that make the Buick Envista a really competitive model in its category. Here are a few of my favorites:
Heated steering wheels + seats
Apple Carplay / Android Auto
USB-C ports
Automated cruise control
Panoramic sunroof
Excellent crash protection- this does come standard in all modern vehicles
Overall, the front row of the Envista Avenir feels very lux. A minor (but very cool) detail is the contrast brown stitching. I don’t see this type of pop often, but it feels like classic elevated design.
Buick Envista Avenir Second Row Details
The second row really shows how having a sedan/coup like structure creates an enjoyable driving experience. After setting the driver’s seat to accommodate my height (6 feet) there is still plenty of leg room and excellent head clearance. If it was a true subcompact SUV, this would not be the case.
With this space in mind, I feel very confident that a rear-facing car seat would fit well in the second row. Although I cannot guarantee the bench will fit three across, two can fit very comfortably.
Buick Envista Avenir Trunk Details
Power tailgate makes popping the trunk really easy. I really put the trunk of this car to the test (packing it for the airport right after the tour) and it proved to be able to hold a lot of space. This means a double stroller will be no problem.
2024 Buick Envista Avenir Wrap Up
With a starting price and quality materials used throughout, Buick is really stepping up their game to make a car that appeals to a wide market. Although sedan/coup models are not nearly as common as they used to be, the Envista provides a lot of space while still technically remaining a subcompact SUV.
