2024 Honda Prologue Review | Honda’s First All-Electric SUV
We’ve got a brand new vehicle on deck today! Honda is finally entering the electric vehicle game with the debut release of the 2024 Prologue. This has been a really hyped-up five passenger SUV, but as always the question stands: is it family-friendly?

What Is The Honda Prologue?
Honda has been slowly converting the majority of its vehicle lineup to hybrid or more efficient options, but this is the first all-electric SUV we are seeing come into the market. With an estimated range of 300 miles and a starting MSRP of $47,000 this is going to be one competitive vehicle.
I will be walking through the Elite trim level today, which has a starting MSRP of $58,000, but Honda includes a lot of great standard features and they make base models a lot easier to come by. Regardless, this trim has some really excellent upgrades I’m excited to walk you through.
Honda Prologue Exterior
Honda definitely made this exterior to be on-trend with the sportier, sleeker options we are seeing on the market. It’s a more rugged look than we’ve previously seen from Honda before and I really like it.
They’ve also brought out this really cool teal exterior color on the higher trim levels and it’s nothing like I’ve ever seen on the road before. I’m not sure if I would choose it, but I do think a lot of people will like it.
Honda Prologue First Row
Despite it being a smaller five passenger crossover, the interior feels really light and airy. A lot of manufacturers are really loving the wood accents and this car is no different. It feels really elevated, but still like a classic reliable Honda you know will last forever.
What I really love about this car is if you didn’t know it was an electric vehicle, you can’t really tell. It’s a good mix of the latest technology, without having every button be on a screen. I can’t stand it when it takes several clicks to adjust the AC. I also love the interior colors, it’s almost like a football brown with some black accents.
Right underneath the center console, we have a little pass through for some good flat storage with two USBS cup holders. A beautiful panoramic sunroof finishes off the first row and I would feel really comfortable as a driver in this vehicle.
Infotainment System
We’ve got some really good tech in here including Heads Up Display, standard wireless charging, and Wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto. Like most manufacturers now, we have Google built into the infotainment system.
There is a completely digital dash with a nice display. I kind of wish the two screens were a little more integrated, it just kind of looks like it was popped on top. I love that all of our climate control is just pulled out and kept with actual buttons. In this EV world, everyone is throwing everything into some sort of digital format and Honda is keeping it simple. I enjoy it.
Honda Prologue Second Row
For my second row comfort, I’ve got really good knee and head clearance. This is a very roomy five passenger car and this bench seat is nice and wide. Since I got a first look of this vehicle at the New York Auto Show, I don't have car seats with me, but I think with these flexible buckles and the width of this bench, this is a really good three across candidate.
LATCH hardware includes:
Lower anchors in the outboard seats
Tether anchors across the back
Honda Prologue Trunk
This trunk space is excellent. It's got room for a double stroller or luggage for the airport. It goes really deep down, which is an added benefit, along with nice hidden storage. The second row doesn’t lay completely flat, but there is more room to haul things if needed.
2024 Honda Prologue Wrap Up
Overall, I am really impressed with the new Honda Prologue. I can’t get over that this is an electric vehicle, but it doesn't feel like one. I haven't driven one yet, but this car should be available within the next couple of weeks to test drive at the dealership. I think this is going to be a really successful EV and Honda will introduce this tech to a wider market.
