2025 Nissan Armada Highlights:

  • Redesigned Interior: Fresh and modern design with plush materials.

  • Full-Size SUV: Comparable to the Expedition, Tahoe, and Yukon, but without an extended wheelbase option.

What Works:

  • Car Seat Flexibility: Improved car seat setup with tilt feature and lower anchors in the second row.

  • Comfortable Seating: Spacious and comfortable seating across all rows.

  • Tech Features: Modern infotainment system with wireless charging and multiple USB ports.

What Doesn’t Work:

  • Trunk Space: Limited compared to competitors.

  • Headrests: Non-removable headrests in the third row can hinder car seat installations.

  • No Sunshades: Lack of sunshades in the rear seats, which is a common feature in many family cars.

2025 Nissan Armada Exterior

The 2025 Nissan Armada has a tough exterior design that looks and feels very similar to other full-size SUVs, although it lacks an extended wheelbase option. Its sleek lines and modern features give it a commanding presence, but it doesn't break any new ground in terms of innovation.

The car’s size provides great space for passengers, making it comparable to models like the Expedition and Tahoe. The Armada's exterior is enhanced by its large alloy wheels and a refined front end, but its overall style is more functional than flashy. While it's not revolutionary, the Armada's exterior is certainly stylish and well-suited for families who prioritize space and comfort over cutting-edge design.

2025 Nissan Armada First Row

The Armada’s interior is modern and luxurious, featuring a sleek command center with easy-to-use climate controls, heated and ventilated seats, and a heated steering wheel. The materials feel high-end, with soft-touch surfaces and a faux leather look that resists fingerprints well.

The dashboard layout is clean and user-friendly, with controls that are easy to reach and operate. There’s a panoramic sunroof and a heads-up display that adds to the modern feel. The center console is a bit small for the size of the car but includes a wireless charging pad and two USB-C ports.

2025 Nissan Armada Second Row

The improved second row of the 2025 Nissan Armada is designed with families in mind, offering great legroom and flexibility. Even when the seats are pushed all the way back, there’s great space for passengers. The seats are on tracks, allowing you to adjust them for more space in either the second or third row—a feature not all competitors offer. This flexibility is particularly useful for families who need to balance passenger comfort with cargo space.

One of the most exciting updates is that the Armada now includes a car seat tilt feature, making it easier to access the third row with car seats installed. This is a game changer for larger families looking to have a car that grows with their family.

The second row can be configured with either captain’s chairs or a bench seat, depending on the trim level. As for the car seat setup, it is significantly improved from previous models, with lower anchors and tether anchors in both seats. This flexibility makes it a standout option for parents juggling multiple car seats.

Additionally, the seats are heated in higher trims, and there are multiple USB-C ports for device charging. Ceiling vents provide additional comfort, although the lack of sunshades is one of my only complaints.

2025 Nissan Armada Third Row

The third row of the 2025 Nissan Armada is surprisingly comfortable, offering decent head and knee clearance even for taller passengers. This makes it a great spot for kids or shorter adults. However, there are a few things to consider for families:

2025 Nissan Armada Third Row
  • LATCH Setup: The third row includes three tether anchors across the back, but only one set of lower LATCH anchors is available, located behind the passenger seat. This means you can install a car seat securely, but options are limited compared to the second row.

  • Non-Removable Headrests: The non-removable headrests on the outboard seats can complicate car seat installations. This might require some extra planning when choosing car seats that fit well with these headrests.

  • Comfort Features: There are ceiling vents and charging ports available, which is a nice touch for keeping everyone comfortable during long trips.

Overall, the third row is a great option for families who need extra seating, but it could benefit from more flexible car seat installations and additional storage solutions.

2025 Nissan Armada Trunk Space

The trunk space behind the third row is limited, with only about 20.4 cubic feet available. This is enough for a few small bags or backpacks but not ideal for larger hauls or a ton of sports gear.

2025 Nissan Armada Trunk

Folding the third row flat increases the cargo area to 56.3 cubic feet, and removing or folding both the second and third rows provides an impressive 97.1 cubic feet of space. However, this setup leaves the cabin unprotected from loose items, which can become projectiles in an accident.

If you plan to use the Armada for hauling gear frequently, it’s safer to opt for a bench seat configuration and keep the third row in place. This creates a barrier between the trunk and the cabin, protecting passengers from loose items.

Who Is This Car For?

The 2025 Nissan Armada is ideal for families who want the comfort and space of a full-size SUV but don’t need an extended wheelbase. It’s perfect for carrying older passengers or those who don’t require massive trunk space. While it has its limitations, the Armada offers a luxurious feel and improved family-friendly features that make it a solid choice in the full-size SUV market.

2025 Nissan Armada Wrap-Up

Overall, the 2025 Nissan Armada is a great option for families looking for a comfortable, full-size SUV with modern amenities. While it may not excel in trunk space, its updated interior and enhanced car seat setup make it a contender in its class. If you’re considering this as your next family car, I highly recommend taking it for a test drive.
