2023 Kia Telluride SX Prestige X PRO AWD
Today, I’ve got a car tour brought to you from Texas! I’m at the Kia Telluride media for the brand new 2023 Kia Telluride SX Prestige and X Pro. These are the two brand new trim levels offered on the Kia Telluride for this year and they have made some actual really nice upgrades I'm really excited to dive into. But the question, as always, remains: Is this car family friendly?
If you’re new here - welcome! I’m Kelly the Car Mom and family vehicle recommendations are my passion. As a certified child safety tech, mom of three, and just an overall car lover I can’t wait to show you everything the 2023 Kia Telluride SX Prestige has to offer.

2023 Kia Telluride Exterior
Starting off, we have a new grille found on the SX and the X Pro. It's a radio radiator style textured 3D grille and of course with the new Kia logo as well. I actually really like the simplicity of this grille, and just the front overall.
Moving along to the side profile on the SX, there’s exclusive 20 inch rims on this design. I think it looks beautiful and we also have body color door handles on the X line as well as some raised roof rails to kind of give it a little sportier of a look.
I did want to mention the x-line SX Prestige has an MSRP topping out at $54,000 which is very expensive compared to the regular 2023 Tellurides starting at $37,000.
2023 Kia Telluride First Row Details
First off, the interior is gorgeous. This wolf gray with this terracotta interior is giving contrast giving just juxtaposition and I'm obsessed. I love this car because it has so many different elements. I think Kia is doing a good job of being creative with their materials to make the car feel like a luxury vehicle.
Moving down, we have all of our climate control that all stays the same, wireless charger that is apparently two times as fast as a USB and USB-C, heated and ventilated seats, plus a heated steering wheel.
Overall, it’s a really comfortable first row that I had a great time test-driving.
Infotainment System
Check this out a 12.4 inch dash and a 12.4 inch display- beautifully curved everything's completely digital and it looks freaking stunning. There is so much I love about this vehicle. We have a heads up display and it is probably one of the best heads up displays I've ever seen. It gives so much valuable information while still not distracting the driver. There are VR elements and an excellent cruise control. I love the Kia technology. I think it's incredibly advanced.
2023 Kia Telluride Second + Third Row Details
From a leg room perspective, the space available is actually some of the best in the class, so although these are midsize SUVs, if legroom is what you're after this is a really good contender. Let's talk about some more of my amenities as a second row passenger. We have built-in sun shades, cup holders, leather back pockets, some hooks for purses or bags, and USB-Cs.
Moving on to the car seat setup, I do not have my usual car seats with me, but I'll give you a quick rundown. With the captain’s chairs, you have lower anchors and tether anchors in both seats. In the third row on the driver's side, we have one set of lower anchors and two sets of tether anchors, but the middle seat is so narrow in the third row of the Telluride it’s basically impossible to use both those tether anchors at the same time- it drives me crazy.
Also to note about the bench seats, you can only get the bench seat on the LX, which is the lowest trim, and the SX, which is the mid trim, so it's not available on all trims which is unfortunate. In all honesty, the Telluride bench is not my favorite bench seat. Normally, I'm a super pro bench for the flexibility it offers for car seats, however the bench in the Telluride is pretty narrow in that middle seat so personally I don't think the bench is worth getting I'd out for the nice roomy captain’s chairs. If you're looking to do three across the Telluride is not the one I would recommend for you.
2023 Kia Telluride Trunk Details
With the third row up, there is some nice additional storage (a great place to store a cargo cover) as well. With the third row down, there is a lot of really nice cargo space available. Pulls to push up or down, plus they are offering power tailgate in the Telluride X-line.
2023 Kia Telluride SX Prestige: Wrap Up
Overall, I think the 2023 Kia Telluride is definitely an option to consider for your family. With some of the best-in class leg room, along with the really excellent tech, you are in for a smooth ride. Although the second and third rows are not 100% three car seats across friendly, I recommend bringing your car seats to the dealership for a test drive to be certain.
